Durham Museum

We all were able to go to the Durham Museum during Railroad Days while Mimi and Grandpa Johnny were in town this summer.  Here are some pictures of our adventures:

RailsWest

Xander had visitors last week--Mimi and Grandpa Johnny!  We did so many fun things, including Omaha Railroad Days!  Here are some pictures of our family at the RailsWest Museum.  It was so hot that day, but Xander had a blast!  They had a model train that he could control, which he kept stopping as it rode in front of him so he could have a better look.  The museum had many model trains upstairs and real trains outside!

Xander had the opportunity to see a big train when we were in Minneapolis.  He loved hanging out with his uncle Jack and has been talking about him ever since!  I am amazed at how much Xander looks like a little kid in these pictures--I still call him Baby Xander!  Xander now loves to point out train tracks and railroad crossings, and every time we go the the xoo, he starts talking about the train before we pull into the parking lot.  Xander has a "one-track" mind ;)

MN Trains!

Xander had a blast in Minneapolis this past week!  One of the highlights was the Twin Cities Model Railroad Museum next to our hotel, which was cool in and of itself because it was built inside a historic train repair shop.  Here are some pictures taken in the museum (more to come!):

Xander was playing in this little car at the science museum in St Paul this week. He grew curious as to why it didn't move! Here are some pics of him checking it out!

Xander and I went to the Childrens Museum this afternoon while Paul was teaching. We always have such a great time there--he really wears me out!
