Xander had his first day of his third year of preschool today!  I'm so excited for him to see his friends and teachers again!

JoDanna Wedding

Here are some pictures of Xander at Dan and Joanna's wedding reception this summer.  He had a lot of fun!  This was back with original Hubie.  Xander was so excited that the reception was next to a train yard!

Bye-Bye Hubie!

We lost a beloved family member this week:  Xander's best bud, Hubie! :(  I don't know who was more upset, Xander or me, but we had quite a harrowing evening.  Xander had Hubie since he was a baby, and in recent months they have been inseparable.  Hubie was such a good friend!  Nevertheless, things are returning to normal around here with our new friend, Newbie Hubie.  Check him out!

This Week

We drove to Sioux Falls this weekend to visit Xander's Gema and Grandpa Jerry.  Xander had a blast playing with his sunglasses in the car!  He has been a busy baby--he learned how to say a bunch of new words over the course of the last week or so.  One of my favorites:  He says "baby, baby, baby" and rocks his hands back and forth when he wants to watch the "Baby Signing Time" DVD.  While we were watching the section about pets on Wednesday, he started saying "frog" and saying and signing "birdie."  He's been saying them all weekend!  He also says "Ruby" now, although it sounds like "Ro-bie."  Ruby is the name of his toy who looks very similar to Hubie.  Xander is so much fun, always playing and talking and interacting with the world around him.  He is getting to be so much more independent, but at the same time, he is more patient about letting us do certain things for him.

Christmas?

I had the day off yesterday, so we started some early Spring cleaning.  We discovered a bunch of Christmas pictures that we never put on the computer.  Hard to believe that Christmas was almost two months ago already.
