Xander had the best weekend ever! He loved playing and chatting with his aunt and uncle. He ate lots of mandarins, hummus, and edamame. X is getting so big!

JoDanna Wedding
Here are some pictures of Xander at Dan and Joanna's wedding reception this summer. He had a lot of fun! This was back with original Hubie. Xander was so excited that the reception was next to a train yard!

Fitzgerald Houses
When we traveled to Minnesota this summer, I had been most excited to visit F. Scott Fitzgerald's house. Well, actually, he lived in a few houses in St. Paul, but we were able to visit two in one visit: The house in which he was born, and the house in which he wrote This Side of Paradise. Thanks to Gema for the pictures!

BIG Train!
Xander had the opportunity to see a big train when we were in Minneapolis. He loved hanging out with his uncle Jack and has been talking about him ever since! I am amazed at how much Xander looks like a little kid in these pictures--I still call him Baby Xander! Xander now loves to point out train tracks and railroad crossings, and every time we go the the xoo, he starts talking about the train before we pull into the parking lot. Xander has a "one-track" mind ;)

Oops! We honestly didn't see the sign because we came from the other side of the train!

MN Trains!
Xander had a blast in Minneapolis this past week! One of the highlights was the Twin Cities Model Railroad Museum next to our hotel, which was cool in and of itself because it was built inside a historic train repair shop. Here are some pictures taken in the museum (more to come!):

Jack found lots of cool landmarks in the museum: The building behind the green train is our hotel--the building to the right now houses the museum!
Probably the least excited X looked all day!
X carried around the commuter car he received from Jack and Kate for his birthday!

Of course, Xander spent most of his time playing with the kid-friendly trains
