New video with X and puppies

No more umbilical stump!

Xander is stump free as of last night: ) It came off when we were changing his last available cloth diaper. Good thing clean diapers were delivered this morning! I'm grateful for all of the disposable diapers that were given to us by various people otherwise last night would have been much messier!


The pictures have nothing to do with umbilical cords but I thought we might include our other babies in this blog occasionally . These are pictures of the dogs being tired - just like the rest of us : )

New outfit lasted all of ten minutes

This is Xander all spiffed up in his green outfit. He had it on for just a few moments before he projectile vomited all over himself and his mommy! Good thing we got the photo : )
Last night went much smoother than the night before. We read him his first Asimov robot story around 3 in the morning. He seemed to like it from what we could tell. I think all of us got more rest and are feeling pretty good this morning!

Xander has the Hiccups all the time!!

Even when he was inside his mom's belly, Xander would get the hiccups a couple times a day! He is going to have very strong stomach muscles. Today we made an appointment for another doctor visit on July 7th at 1 PM.

Last night was kind of rough on everyone, we spent most of it changing diapers and listening to Xander scream : ( He eventually calmed down and seems just peachy today.

Today's Lab Results

Xander had some more blood drawn this morning--poor guy!  Things went much better today, and he barely cried.  The doctor said his bilirubin levels were down to 14.4, and since things are going well, we are just going to continue monitoring him for awhile.  We came home and Xander and I slept for hours. 

I finally cut his fingernails last night.  Talk about a terrifying experience!  I've been so scared to do it, but he didn't even seem to notice.

First Doctor Visit

Xander had his first adventure at the doctor's office this morning. We took him in to be weighed and were sent off to the childrens' hospital to get some lab work done. Xander has just a touch of the jaundice so they had to take some blood. They poked him in three places! He took it like a champ and has a nice purple armband to show for his efforts. We found out from the results that his blood type is O+ just like his mom. We have to go back tomorrow morning for some more blood letting to check if he is progressing in the right direction. If not, he will prolly have to lay around under some cool blankets that bathe him in some good light and help clear up his yellowishness. Other than that, Xander is eating well and sleeping a few hours at a time. Both of us parents are sleepy, though we have not progressed to zombie status.

Second entry!!

Xander Apollo was born on June 22nd, 2010. He weighed 7 lbs 0.2 oz and was 20 inches long. He's an awesome little dude!. To peek at Xander's life before June 22nd, check out http://minimorrison.blogspot.com/.

This is going to be our way of keeping track of some of the early Xander Apollo Morrison adventures. This first post is also a test to see if I am a "blogger". Hopefully the words will appear on the screen the way I want them to!
